Maitreya Buddha’s Paradise: Geumsansa Temple on Moaksan Mountain in Jeonbuk State

In commemoration of the launch of Jeonbuk State, the Jeonju National Museum is partnering with Geumsansa Temple to present the history and cultural heritage found at this temple on Moaksan Mountain that has long served as a sacred space of the Maitreyan faith and a source of comfort and hope for local residents.

Pursuing mercy for everyone, Geumsansa Temple has overcome worldly difficulties with an indomitable will and strong drive to achieve its goals. The spirit of innovation to boldly embrace the new has enabled Geumsansa to survive the centuries.

The spirit of Geumsansa, the essence of Maitreya, is with us today.

It is hoped that the light of hope that Geumsansa has protected will shine brightly on Jeonbuk State as it starts its journey with the good wishes of all.
