Introduction
Baekdu Daegan, a mountain range and watershed-crest-line which runs through most of the length of the Korean Peninsula, formed the borders between Baekje, Gaya, and Silla during the Three Kingdoms Period. It still serves as a border separating Gyeongsang-do from Jeolla-do areas. Unbong Highland that is located to the east of Baekdu Daegan played an important role among the three kingdoms as a transportation route. It is believedthat here is the place where the history of conflict and reconciliation between these Kingdoms was created. What is even more interesting is the fact that currently the 88 Olympic Expressway, which connects Gyeongsang-do and Jeolla-do, runs through this region.

Part 1 Memories of Anvil and Hammer
Over 100 tombs dating back to the Gaya Period remain in Unbong Highland. It is notable that there are more tombs in Unbong Highland than Gyeongsang-do region, the Capital of Gaya Period. This may attribute to the sophisticated techniques for making iron tools of the inhabitants. The Wolsan-ri tombs in Unbong Highland must have belonged to warriors as objects including swords with round-pommel, axes, spears, arrowheads, visors, mail armor, horse gags and stirrups were excavated.

Part 2 Condolences through Earthenware
Unbong Highland was not only the hub for transportation, but also for diverse cultures. This could be witnessed through various potteries that were used for funerals in Gaya Period. The exhibition displays and compares the earthenware items by dividing them into So (little) Gaya, Dae (big) Gaya, and excavated goods from the Wolsan-ri tombs.

Part 3 An Encounter with Precious Relics
The fact that Unbong Highland was located farthest from the Capital of Gaya allowed to exert creativity without any intervention. It was the Wolsan-ritombs to have discovered a cock-shaped bottle for the first time in the Gaya region. Cock-shaped bottles are only found in the Baekje region, which allows for comparisonbetween the Gaya the Baekje bottles. The exhibition elaborates on the use of tri-legged cauldrons with handle from the Wolsan-ri tombs, the outstanding culture, and the greatness of the Gaya warriors. For a better comparison, Silla and Baekje tri-legged cauldrons will also be on display.

Epilogue
The investigation and research of Unbong Highland is only in the first stage. However, there is a growing interest in the eastern mountain area of Jeollabuk-do including Unbong Highland. It is hoped that thisexhibition will provide the impetus for further research on this region.
