Information

The archeological site in Dotong-ri, Jinan, where celadon bowls and brick fragments were discovered, was known as the initial celadon baking kiln, although further investigations have yet to be conducted. Note, however, that archeological investigations were recently conducted by Kunsan National University's Museum, enabling the collection of early-period celadon data of the region. This exhibition was intended to show the results
In the archeological site are a large number of initial celadon types of bowls with gentle curved base, Chinese bowls with round base, and Korean bowls with round base, suggesting that the production of celadon began to be activated at that time. This exhibition features 200 relics, including celadon bowls and protective pottery covers during pottery baking at kilns in Dotong-ri, Jinan and other relics from the Iksan Mireuksa Temple site, Namwon Silsangsa Temple, Jeonju Donggo Fortress, and Gosaburi Fortress in Jeongeup, offering a view of the region's early-period celadon wares. This exhibition will certainly aid in understanding the region's early-period celadon wares
