Information

Jeonbuk Innovative City, whose construction was initiated as part of the Korean government’s National Balanced Development Policy in the 2000s, has almost been completed. And, at the same time, the results of the archeological investigations conducted at Jeonbuk Innovative City have also been brought to light one in quick succession.

In a rather timely manner, the Jeonju National Museum has organized its 2016 Special Exhibition under the title of “The Discoveries through Archaeological Research: the Artifacts, Sites, Excavation and Exhibition.” The exhibition introduces artifacts and sites discovered during the excavations at Jeonbuk Innovative City. Notably, the bronze wares discovered at over one hundred ancient burial grounds, including Mirrors with Fine Linear Designs and Bronze Ritual Rattle, tell stories of the people who formed communities in an emerging ancient civilization.

We at the Jeonju National Museum hope that visitors to the exhibition will gain valuable insight into the lives of the ancient people who once lived in the area and appreciate the dedication of all those who have labored to resuscitate the distant past.
